WCC UK Small Grants Scheme

The WCC UK operates a Small Grants Scheme for members. Members of the WCC UK are invited to apply for a grant of up to £150 to support their academic activities. Grants might contribute towards the cost of, for example, (not an exhaustive list):

• Costs associated with attending a conference or event, such as transport, accommodation, subsistence, or caring costs
• Costs associated with putting on an event, such as room hire, catering, or creative fees
• Costs associated with research, such as book purchases or transport costs to visit an archive or library

Applicants should be members in good standing, and should complete the application form in full. Applications are open year-round as long as funds are available. A decision will be made by the grant committee (consisting of the Treasurer, Administrator, and Co-chair(s)) within four weeks of submission. Payment will be made by bank transfer to a UK bank account upon approval of the application. There is no need to submit receipts.

Overseas applicants: we can accept applications from applicants without a UK bank account, with payment to be made by PayPal; however, please be aware the WCC UK will not cover the cost of currency conversion and transaction processing fees.
